A New Chapter for Community Cafe

Since opening our doors on June 21, 2024, Community Cafe has been more than a place to grab coffee. It has been a meeting point, a creative corner, a familiar face, and a space where conversation, connection, and community found a home.

As we close out this chapter at 90 Laurel Avenue, we want to begin by saying thank you.

Thank you to everyone who stopped in for a coffee, lingered over conversation, joined us for events, supported local artists, brought a friend, or simply made us part of your routine. Every visit has helped shape what Community Cafe has become.

This summer, we will be stepping away from our current location as we prepare for what comes next.

As many of you already know, Community Cafe’s next home will be at 1901A Springfield Avenue in Maplewood — and we’re excited for what this next chapter will make possible.

Rather than rushing to reopen, we are taking the summer to make sure the new space is done right — thoughtfully, intentionally, and in a way that reflects the kind of experience we want to continue creating with you.

If 90 Laurel gave you a glimpse of what Community Cafe could feel like, our next home will give us the opportunity to bring that vision to life even more fully.

While our doors at Laurel Avenue may be closing for now, Community Cafe is not going quiet.

Throughout the summer, you can still find us at pop-ups, collaborations, and gatherings around town. We’ll be sharing those dates and locations along the way, so keep an eye on our social channels and here on the blog.

This next chapter brings new possibilities, and we’re looking forward to sharing more in the weeks ahead.
